To improve traffic flow on the way into the city of Grenoble on the A48 motorway, APRR commissioned our Dorsalys experts to install a carpooling detection system.
This device enables vehicles in a reserved lane and the number of occupants in each car to be identified and counted.
The carpool lane on the A48 is open only in the event of traffic congestion. It is reserved for vehicles carrying a minimum of two people, taxis, and vehicles with a "zero emission" Crit'air sticker (hydrogen or electric).
